The century old cold storage plant in Puerto Bories was closed in 1973. It was declared a National Historic Monument in 1996 and restored and transformed into a luxury hotel, The Singular Patagonia, which opened in 2012. It serves as both a museum and a unique destination that pays tribute to its past.
